THE GREATEST STRAWBERRY JELLO CAKE POKE

But we never lanyon's it's Jason day's making world and welcome back to my channel for today's video I'll be showing you all how to make strawberry poke cake this recipe is made with a clout like moist white cake with a sweet layer Jello and top of the layer of whipped cream this video is actually a part of a collaboration with two amazing girls from the blossoming YouTube channel aesthetic Shadows they already have such delicious recipes

including their latest one strawberry cheesecake which is coming very soon the link to their channel will be in the description down below so check out the channel after this to learn how to make it and be sure to subscribe to them as well but in the meantime enough to chat let's get started first in a medium Bowl combine 3 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour 5 tablespoons of cornstarch 4 teaspoons of baking powder and half a teaspoon of salt with your dry ingredients together

for about 20 seconds then set it aside to mix in 1 and 1/2 cups of whole milk and 6 egg whites both at room temperature since that this aside as well and head over to your standing mixer cream together two sticks of soft and salted butter and 1 and 1/2 cups of granulated sugar on medium-high speed for just 3 minutes been out in one teaspoon of vanilla extract following one teaspoon of almond extract what's the temperature in stew fully mix into your batter you're going to ultimately add in your dry and wet ingredients making sure to start and end with a flower

stop the mixer once everything is just barely combined to scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl then start the mixer backup on high for 5 seconds to make the mixture smooth and Airy now spread your battery evenly in a quarter sheet cake pan coated with oil and line with a piece of parchment paper and pop it into the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes monster cake is out of the oven run a knife or spatula along the edges to make sure it's not sticking to the sides however this shouldn't be a problem for you if you added enough oil well that continues to cool come by in a 3 oz package of strawberry Jell-O and one cup of boiling water until the devil has completely dissolved in the water and let it sit for an additional 2 minutes not going back to her cake

once it's completely cooled poke several holes all over the cake with the end of a wooden spoon employer liquid gel all over your cake so it can completely saturate the surface and all the holes but that cool for about 30 minutes in the fridge before we spread or whipped cream on top and you can also add 12 strawberry halves as a Finishing Touch and that's all it takes to make this delicious and simple strawberry poke cake I really hope you all enjoy this recipe and if you did please be sure to give this video a big thumbs-up subscribe to join the neverland family and be coming in today and be sure to click that fell to stay notified when my next uploads are be sure to leave any questions concerns or comments down on the comment section below at least some suggestions of recipes do you like sea-maiden picture videos remember to never give up on family and I'll see you all in the next video

hi everybody welcome back to my channel to today I am going to be doing a cook with me for my strawberry jello poke cake originally found this recipe on Pinterest and I'm a signs and recently made it for my husband's work and it was a huge hit so I figured I would go ahead and sell it for you guys so what you're going to need is some white cake mix yellow cake mix will do as well and then you need whatever ingredients on the back so oil water eggs they're also going to need some strawberry Jell-O now and you see the instant Jell-O and I usually used 3 oz is a 6-oz one but it was because I was doubling the recipe sausage any cool whip powdered sugar vanilla as well as cream cheese but I don't know where that was in this video and then

whatever you need to decorate the cake and I'm going to have the whole recipe and ingredients down in the description box the first what you're going to do is just make the cake like you normally would to just follow the instructions that are on the back of your cake mix 9mm how we going to get some questions on what this little tool is it's like a whisk that when you press down and actually like spins itself I'm not sure what it's called or where my grandma got at my grandma actually gave it to me and James is a gift but I absolutely love it and it makes whisking really easy I just need you now you're just going to go ahead and spray whatever pan you're using on we were using disposable ones here because like I said it was for my husband's work and you just going to go ahead and put the whole cake mix into the pan and cook it based on the instructions on the back of the cake mix
For this cake I want to had an added little flowers all around it that were also pink and I also did some sparkly pink what am I thinking of sprinkles and the cake was really cute and it tasted amazing James said that everyone at work was complimenting it and asking for the recipe and I also made this the week before at my mom's house so I can say that it's amazing I really hope that you guys enjoy this video if you'd like future clip with me videos let me know down below because I'm kind of testing this out to see if this is a total flop or not but thank you so much for watching the video big thumbs up please subscribe if you're not yet subscribe it would mean a lot to me

and I guess I'll see you guys in my next video welcome back to my channel so today I am making a birthday cake another birthday cake I have made a few birthday cakes on my Channel or done videos of a few birthday cakes and posted them on my channel and this one is yet again my Grandpa's birthday cake tomorrow when you see this it'll be a few days later but he will be turning 90 years old tomorrow is born in 1928 so amazing to think about all of the different things that he has gone through in his life he's 90 he's going to be 90 years old this birthday cake is going to be a little bit different than what I normally do and that's why I wanted to do it because I have in making the typical you know cake with buttercream icing the typical birthday cake so my cousin gave me this idea it is a so you make a cake and you know in this case I'm going to do the double layer cake so I already have my cakes made you can see the lopsided that's their my oven must be not level but anyway they are both like that so I'm assuming that I can just put one like this then one like this then it'll be even so we'll be but I already made the cakes and I will link above my box cake mix hacks video that's a good one and that's what I used to make this cake I actually used a white cake mix but when you add all of the butter that replaces the oil in that recipe and makes it more of a yellow cake so but that's fine so if you want a white cake don't use that box cake

hack method just do so you don't use the old use oil instead of replacing the oil with butter but what I'm going to do is I'm going to make some Jell-O and I have some water boiling here on the stove I'm going to boil 2 cups of water I'm using to 3 oz packs of Jell-O and we're going to make jello but we're not going to using the boiling water but we're not going to add the cold water to it we are going to just add the boiling water and then we are going to poke some holes in our cake and then spoon it over the cake so I'll bring you a little closer so you can see what I'm doing all right so I have two small packets of Jell-O I'm using strawberry you can use two different colors to one for each layer that would be pretty cool his birthday is so close to Christmas I thought about doing a redneck green

but it is his birthday so I'll just stick with one color you could also do like red and blue for Independence Day all kinds of different things so I'm just going to pour this boiling water I underestimated the size of that and then we're going to make sure this is all nice and dissolved in that water so it's 1 cup per packet of Jell-O all right I got it all stirred up now what you want to do is take your pants clean about and you're going to want to put your cake back into this can top side down just like that and then I'll do the same with this one top side down actually turned out pretty good even though for a little and you're going to Hoke cake what's some Halls also called a poke cake

by the way put in a hole as a couple inches apart maybe 1 inch apart to make a long church folks down in there over the entire cake and then you're going to spoon your Jello over each cake. And let it soak in I'll do half on each Kate and it's already a nice moist cake but this is going to make it even more moist and yummy so like I said this is also called a poke cake instead of a Jello cake but you often times see the Poke cakes made in a 9 by 11 pan and this is made by it with a two 9-inch round pan so when you get your Jello all soaked in to both cakes you're going to want to refrigerate your cake layers for 3 or 4 hours and let that Jello so can and let everything cool before you ice your cake so I'll bring you back when I get out of the refrigerator and nice and cooled before I ice them alright

so now that the hands with the cake and Jello have been in a refrigerator for three or four hours I have taken them out and turn them upside down and carefully ran warm water over the bottom part of the cake pan and they popped right out o at this point I am going to use my ever so fancy icing to put in between the layers of this cake which you can see is Cool Whip so give you a cool whip a good stir and make sure that it is completely thawed because I had a little bit of an issue with that I should have let my Cool Whip thaw for a couple more hours because I had some colder pieces and it wasn't as smooth as I would have liked it to be so I am going to put about a cup cup and a half of Cool Whip on the top of the first layer of my cake and then you can see again here I ran warm water over the bottom part of that pan gently so that I didn't get the cake wet and it loosened it right up and it popped right out

so I'm going to spread more cool whip on top and at this point I am going to get out my angled cake icing spatula and see if I can get this nice and smooth on the top before I start adding more cool whip to the edges so if you don't have an angled spatula no worries whatsoever you can use anything with a flat Edge basically so I hadn't had one of these angled spatulas for a long time and I finally invested in one or not very expensive I can link one below they make them in several different sizes so you can get like a three pack that contains like a small medium and large large angled spatula that you can use for different applications so now you can see I went back to a regular spatula to cover the sides and at this point we're just going to get it all moved out and looking nice before we start piping our lettering
