HOW TO MAKE BEAUTIFUL RED VELVET CAKE COOKIES

Welcome back to my Channel today I'm going to be sharing with you how to make red velvet cookies let's begin starting off my stand mixer added in half a cup of softened butter and I mixed this until it was light and creamy next high tide in 1/3 cup of white sugar along with half a cup of packed brown sugar and I continued mixing that I added in one egg along with a tablespoon of milk and one teaspoon of vanilla extract so once everything was well combined

I added in about a tablespoon of the red gel food coloring you can also use a liquid if you'd like and then I mix it until the entire batter turn bright red in a separate Bowl I added in the dry ingredients so that was 1 and 1/2 cups plus 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour along with 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder in one teaspoon of baking soda I gave this a quick mix and then I poured it into my wet

ingredients I mix these two together until it Formed itself dough and then I turned my mixer off laissez added in 3/4 cups of chocolate chips and I mix this just for a few seconds until they were well Incorporated I transfer the dough onto some plastic wrap you can also use aluminum foil for this step and using my hands I shape the dough kind of into a log shape and after covering it with the rap I rolled it out a bit more then placed it into my fridge for about an hour just so it could chill maximum you can place

the dough in the fridge is five days and if you're going to do that then you want to take it out 45 minutes prior to baking once an hour had passed I remove the cookie dough from my refrigerator using my hands I rolled it into a ball and I use about a tablespoon per cookie and then I placed it on to my silicone baking mat I bake the cookies at 350 Fahrenheit for 10 minutes so once the cookies came out of the oven I took a spoon and gently flattened down each of them while the cookies were still warm I took a few chocolate chips and press them into each cookie also feel free to top the cookies off with whatever you'd like I decide to go with milk chocolate chips and white

chocolate chips over all these cookies are soft and delicious you can really taste the rich cocoa powder in them which I personally love along with the warm and gooey chocolate chips they definitely one of my go-to recipes for the holidays and I guarantee if you make them they'll be devour within the day that's it for this video I hope you enjoyed if you liked it be sure to give me a thumbs up and also don't forget to comment some Christmas video ideas down below because I am starting my Christmas series very soon thanks for watching and I'll talk to you all on my next upload by guys hi guys I'm Laura Vitali and we are the full swing of holiday baking around here and I have to say I get it

just you guys tag me in the most incredible Recreations of my recipes and that I just love seeing every single one of them but the one cookie that just gets has more than any that I get tagged in it more than any other cookie in the history of Lori the kitchen has been my chocolate crinkle cookies it just seems that all of you love them and you know so many of you have made them and I'm sure the right thing the picture with me and I love it and I've been getting a lot of questions about making different Recreations you know different variations of it so that you can retrieve them at home and I thought well during the holiday

season I love red for the holiday season clearly love chocolate crinkle cookies so what better than to just make a red velvet cream kisses that's what I called them they're like red velvet crinkle cookies with a little like little chocolate kiss in the center and it could not be easier the ingredients on need are some all-purpose flour baking powder salt cocoa powder I've got some granulated sugar some unsalted butter has been softened eggs red food coloring and some vanilla extract that is it I'm going to make my dog and my cookie dough in my standing mixer fitted with a paddle attachment so it makes life really easy okay to take my butter which you know I got my oven turned on and I sit my butter on the stove to get it nice and soft so kind of melt around

the edges just a little bit but that's fine then add my sugar and my butter and I'm going to let these cream together just briefly you can add my eggs and a good splash of vanilla extract and I'm going to just let that makes until it's really well Incorporated I'll make sure to scrape the side of the bowl and just a minute excellent looking to give my dry ingredients a little mix here doesn't have to be mixed perfectly and I will say that recently anytime I use cocoa powder I have been sifting it but more and more of my containers of cocoa powder to get chunkier and chunky or when I get when I buy a new one so I like to stick to it I don't want to get any big chunks of cocoa

cuz it doesn't mix well I'm just going to put my dry ingredients right in try and get them all in there and it's some get on the side of the mixer is going to have to do I'm really Jolly so I'll be perfectly fine cleaning it up and it makes us together until it's combined I'm just going to add some red food coloring to this cuz they will even though you think you just trust me it work you can add as much as you want or until you get the desired color that you're looking for this is looking good I always like to finish my battery or my Jose by hand just make sure everything

is mixed really well I'm going to pop this batter into a bolt cover with plastic wrap and this has to go in the fridge to set for about 3 hours or you can even do this overnight but really no less than 3 hours otherwise you cookies won't kind of hold the way they going to get all this out of here in the fridge for several hours and then we'll move forward my cookie dough was in the fridge for about 4 hours and now I have my oven for heated to 350 I've got some confectioners sugar here they also have a baking sheet line with some parchment paper and I am ready to rock and roll. Got my ice cream scoop that's about the equivalent of a tablespoon I take some of my cookie dough pop it into your hand like so warm it into into a ball Papa into the confectioners sugar just kind of like the same thing like we did with the I should go to XS like chocolate crinkles and then just put them a couple inches apart on your prepared

baking sheet and that's it okay these are coded and ready to go no pop mini oven to 350 the being there for about 10 to 12 minutes and then I'll show you what to do couple minutes after they come out my cookies were in the oven for 12 minutes and when you take them out let them sit for 2 minutes and then you're going to take a little chocolate kiss you can sing really any piece of chocolate you want just like the specific one because it looks It kind of holds itself in play

The fence when you hold it there just for a second because once the bottom of the chocolate kind of starts to melt it kind of holds itself in place you want to make sure you do this while the cookie is still warm so that's why I only like to wait two minutes and they're just smelling like like I don't even know what right now so I'm just going to continue to do that and let them cool completely you know I just and look watch just music I've no words real what I said on my chocolate crinkles where it's like a mixture I'm a cookie and brownie call it a Brookie same thing goes for this one perfect really perfect really beautiful to look at I don't even know
